Business consultation

Know what's working. Not what looks like it.

Most businesses aren't short on data — they're short on answers. We install the tracking, the automation and the reporting that turn scattered numbers into decisions you can actually act on this quarter.

Sound familiar?

Six signs your numbers aren't telling you the truth

None of these mean your team is doing a bad job. They mean the measurement layer underneath them was never built properly — and every decision made on top of it inherits the problem.

Your ad platforms report more revenue between them than your bank account received.

Marketing and finance quote two different revenue figures, and both are defensible.

Someone on your team spends a day a week copying numbers between spreadsheets.

You found out a conversion tag had been broken for weeks — at month end.

You can't say which channel brings customers who stay, only which brings the most orders.

You bought AI tools last year and nobody can point to what changed because of them.

Three or more? The fix is sequencing, not more software — and it usually starts with measurement.

Consulting coverage

Every discipline solves a different problem

Buying tools before fixing process is how most transformation budgets disappear. We sequence the work so each piece makes the next one cheaper.

Do more without hiring more

AI & Automation

We start with the tasks your team repeats weekly, not with the tool that's trending. Then we automate the ones where a mistake is cheap, and a human still reviews the ones where it isn't.

  • Process audit first — we map the workflow, time it and cost it, so you can see what automation is actually worth before anything is built.
  • Workflow automation across your existing stack — CRM, forms, spreadsheets, email, billing and internal chat connected so data stops being re-keyed by hand.
  • AI agents for defined jobs — lead qualification and routing, enquiry summarisation, review and inbox triage, first-draft content and internal Q&A over your own documents.
  • Human checkpoints by design — approval steps, confidence thresholds and escalation rules so nothing customer-facing goes out unreviewed.
  • Guardrails and governance — access controls, data-handling rules, prompt and version management, plus an audit trail of what the system did and why.
  • Adoption support — documentation, team training and a 30-day monitoring window, because an automation nobody trusts gets switched off.
From numbers to answers

Analytics that answer business questions

Platform dashboards each tell a flattering version of the same story. We pull the raw data into one place, reconcile it against your actual orders and revenue, and analyse the questions your business runs on.

  • One source of truth — ad platforms, CRM, store, POS and finance data pulled into a single warehouse on a scheduled pipeline.
  • Customer analysis — cohorts, repeat rate, lifetime value by acquisition source, and the segments quietly carrying your margin.
  • Channel contribution — blended efficiency, new-customer cost by source, and incrementality testing rather than last-click credit.
  • Product and service economics — margin after fees, returns and delivery, so you stop scaling the SKUs that lose money at volume.
  • Forecasting and scenarios — demand, capacity and budget models with clear assumptions you can challenge line by line.
  • Data quality work — deduplication, naming conventions and definitions written down, so two teams stop reporting two different revenue figures.
Measurement foundation

If the data is wrong, everything after it is

Browser restrictions, consent banners and ad blockers have quietly broken most measurement setups. We rebuild yours so the numbers optimisation depends on are ones you can defend.

  • Measurement plan written before any code — the events that matter, their parameters, their values and who uses each one.
  • GA4 and Tag Manager rebuilt properly — clean event taxonomy, conversion definitions, cross-domain handling and no duplicated tags left running.
  • Server-side tagging with Conversions API, enhanced conversions and offline conversion imports to recover the signal browsers now block.
  • Full-journey capture — call tracking, form and chat events, booking systems and CRM stages, so an offline sale still traces back to the ad that started it.
  • Consent and compliance — consent mode, regional rules and data retention configured deliberately, with what is collected documented in plain language.
  • Ongoing QA — automated tag monitoring and alerts when a conversion goes quiet, instead of finding out at month end.
Numbers plus a point of view

Reporting you'll actually make decisions from

A dashboard nobody opens is a cost, not an asset. We build reporting around the decisions each person actually makes — then add the written interpretation that turns a chart into an action.

  • Role-based views — an operator dashboard, a management summary and a board pack, each showing only what that audience can act on.
  • Live dashboards in Looker Studio, Power BI or your own tools, refreshed automatically from the warehouse rather than a monthly copy-paste.
  • Written read-outs every month — what moved, what caused it, what we're changing, and what we got wrong last time.
  • Targets and variance tracked against plan, with pacing so shortfalls surface in week two, not after quarter end.
  • Automated alerts for spend spikes, conversion drops, stock-outs and broken tracking, delivered to email or chat with a named owner.
  • Definitions documented so a metric means the same thing in marketing, sales and finance — and stays that way after your team changes.
Built for your business

Strategy with owners and dates

Generic playbooks assume generic margins, generic capacity and a competitor who isn't paying attention. Yours won't. We build the plan from your own numbers and the constraints your team actually operates under.

  • Discovery sprint — systems and data audit, competitor and demand review, plus interviews with the people running the work day to day.
  • Unit economics modelled first — margin, capacity and payback period define what the strategy is allowed to recommend.
  • Prioritised roadmap scored on impact, effort and confidence, split into quick wins, quarter-scale projects and longer bets.
  • Channel and offer strategy — where to compete, what to say, what to stop doing, and the budget shape that supports it.
  • Implementation support — we can execute it, work alongside your in-house team, or brief and quality-check whoever does.
  • Quarterly reviews where the roadmap is re-scored against real results, so the plan changes when the evidence does.
What we do

Consulting that ends in a working system

At Digital Jockey we don't hand over a deck and leave. Five disciplines, delivered together — because automation without clean data misfires, and strategy without tracking is guesswork with a nicer font.

AI & Automation

Workflows, agents and integrations that take repetitive operations off your team's plate — with a human still holding the decisions that matter.

  • Workflow automation
  • AI agents
  • Integrations

Data Analytics

Your numbers pulled into one warehouse and read properly — cohorts, LTV, channel contribution and the questions leadership keeps asking.

  • Cohorts & LTV
  • Attribution
  • Forecasting

Advanced Tracking

Server-side tagging, consent handling and event design so what the platforms report matches what actually happened in your business.

  • GA4 & GTM
  • Server-side
  • Consent mode

Reporting

Live dashboards plus a written read-out — what moved, why it moved and what we're changing next, in language your board understands.

  • Dashboards
  • Board packs
  • Alerting

Custom Strategy

A costed, sequenced roadmap built around your margins, capacity and market — with owners and dates, not a list of best practices.

  • Roadmapping
  • Unit economics
  • Quarterly reviews
How we start

A short discovery sprint — systems audit, data review and interviews with the people doing the work.

What you decide

A prioritised roadmap scored on impact, effort and confidence. You choose what gets built and when.

What you keep

Every account, pipeline, dashboard and document. Built in your tools, handed over documented.

How an engagement runs

Four stages, no mystery

You'll know what's being worked on, who owns it and what it's expected to return — from the first week to the quarterly review.

01

Discovery

Two to three weeks. We audit systems, data and tracking, interview your team and pressure-test the numbers you currently report on.

  • Systems audit
  • Interviews
02

Roadmap

Findings turned into a costed, sequenced plan scored on impact, effort and confidence — presented to your team, not emailed as a PDF.

  • Costed plan
  • Prioritised
03

Build

Tracking, automations, pipelines and dashboards implemented in sprints, each one documented and handed over as it goes live.

  • Sprints
  • Documented
04

Review

Monthly read-outs and quarterly re-scoring of the roadmap against real results — the plan moves when the evidence does.

  • Monthly
  • Quarterly
Engagement shapes

One-off discovery, a fixed-scope build, or an ongoing retainer — whichever fits the problem in front of you.

Who you work with

The people doing the work, not a handover from the person who sold it to you.

Exit position

Everything documented and owned by you, so leaving us doesn't break anything.

Before you ask

Questions we get on the first call

Straight answers to what most businesses want to know before committing. If yours isn't here, ask us directly — no discovery gauntlet first.

Ask us directly

The reliable wins are unglamorous: lead qualification and routing, enquiry summarisation, inbox and review triage, first-draft content, and internal Q&A over your own documents. These work because the task is well-defined and a mistake is cheap. What doesn't work yet is handing an agent an open-ended job with no review step. We start by timing and costing the workflows your team repeats weekly, so you can see what automation is worth before anything is built.

An agency executes channels. An analyst answers questions once they're asked. We build the system that makes both of those work — the tracking underneath, the pipelines, the dashboards and the documented definitions. Most engagements end with your own team running what we built, which is the point. If you already have a strong in-house team, we're often the shortest path to giving them data they can trust.

Tracking, almost always. Analytics built on broken measurement produces confident wrong answers, and automation built on bad data scales the error. Fixing tracking first is also what makes every later phase cheaper, because you stop paying people to reconcile numbers by hand. The exception is when the tracking is fine and the real bottleneck is manual process — the discovery sprint tells us which situation you're in.

Discovery takes two to three weeks. First builds usually ship inside the following month, because we work in sprints and hand over each piece as it goes live rather than holding everything to a launch date. Measurement improvements show up immediately — you'll see the gap between what platforms claimed and what actually happened. Strategy work takes a quarter to show in results, and we re-score the roadmap against those results rather than defending the original plan.

Rarely. Most stacks are underused rather than wrong, and swapping tools is an expensive way to avoid fixing process. We work inside what you already pay for — your CRM, your analytics, your reporting tool — and only recommend a change when the current tool genuinely can't do the job. When we do, we'll show you the cost comparison rather than asserting it.

You keep it. Accounts, pipelines, dashboards, automations and documentation are all built in your own tools under your ownership, and handed over documented as each piece goes live. Nothing runs on a licence only we hold. An engagement that leaves you dependent on us isn't consulting — it's a subscription with extra steps.
